The entire top-five of the Husky women's cross country team plus Joey Bywater on the men's team all were named All-West Region today by the USTFCCCA.

The participants for next Saturday's NCAA Cross Country Championships will include the UW women's team, but the UW men's squad was one of the last teams to miss the cut, with senior Joey Bywater earning an individual spot.

One of the nation's top collegiate cross country meets went down on a perfect fall Seattle day today as the Huskies hosted the NCAA West Regional Championships. Both the men and women fed off the fans to turn in great runs.

For the first time ever, the NCAA West Regional Cross Country Championships are set to go off right here in Seattle this Friday at 12 noon at Jefferson Park Golf Course. Over thirty teams will be vying for a ticket to Nationals.
