In case anyone had forgotten, one of the NCAA's best all-around athletes reminded the Huskies what they had been missing, as senior Jeremy Taiwo put up two of the top performances today at the season-opening UW Indoor Preview.

Coming off a solid fall as a program, the Husky distance crew collectively caught its breath over the last month, and now runs into the new year, looking to keep building and improving from cross country.

When the Dempsey Indoor opens its doors for the first time this season on Saturday, hundreds of track athletes will kick off their college careers or seasons right alongside several 2012 Olympic finalists.

A number of the best performances in Husky track and field history came from the diverse group of jumpers, vaulters, and multi-event athletes, nearly all of who are back to try and outdo themselves in 2013.

In recent years the Husky sprinters have captured Pac-12 titles, school records, and numerous bids to the national championships. A mix of veteran standouts plus a large freshman class makes this the deepest UW crew in years.

Now with a full year under his belt, assistant throws coach T.J. Crater has begun to lay the foundation for a deep throws group, adding eight freshmen. The javelin crew will again lead the way in 2013.
